550lb. Type III ParacordReviewsAfter I bought my first string of 100 ft paracord, I realized how insanely useful it was. I use it for just about everything, I seriously believe it is even more useful than duct tape. At first, I only purchased 100 ft from a military surplus website but it only took maybe a little over 2 months to completely eat through my supply. When I discovered the great priced paracord here on Amazon, I bought 300 feet so it would last me a little longer (I only have about 50 feet left so I might want to make another order) I love paracord mostly because of its size and strength. It really confounds me how something that I've used as shoelace string can hold up 3 people my size easily without breaking. After my wonderful experiences with paracord, I've gotten to the point where I laugh at people who've never used it. Oh, but a word of warning about paracord and nylon rope in general, when you melt the ends (after cutting a section off) be very careful about keeping the drippings off your skin...just yesterday I got a huge glob of molten nylon on my finger and received a 3rd degree burn and a brand new scar. I will still use paracord though, just next time when I melt my ends I'll wear some gloves. My review says that I give paracord a 5/5 but forget fractions, paracord deserves a 7/5 easily!!! Purchased 100' of the black paracord 550, once it arrived I checked that it was 7 strands (it is) and was satisfied. The packaging says that this paracord is Type III Commercial, if that makes a difference to anyone. This is pretty hard to find- Digital Camo Para cord. I got it for my son who's in Iraq. It was shipped neatly packed, and quickly delivered. Very Happy. WDBA AAAA+++++. to learn more google mp1331 It's paracord what could they really screw up. It was cheap, met the specs and came fast. the item I received was exactly as described. transaction was quick and easy. delivered on time and in perfect condition. would do business with dealer again in the future Average Rating:![]() |

Olive Drab Nylon 600 Ft CordReviewsEssential gear for any outdoor enthusiast. This item has a 7 strand core making it strong enough for nearly any task. As with all rope, keep it off the ground and out of the dirt. Great price for the 600' roll - also sold in 100' lengths if you don't need quite as much. This cord is a must for any, camper, hunter, or fisherman. It will hold up your tent, hang a quarter of an elk, but is still small enough to tie up the top of your stuff sack. I always have a roll! 550 Pound Nylon Cord for Climbing and RepellingReviewsAfter I bought my first string of 100 ft paracord, I realized how insanely useful it was. I use it for just about everything, I seriously believe it is even more useful than duct tape. At first, I only purchased 100 ft from a military surplus website but it only took maybe a little over 2 months to completely eat through my supply. People - Nobody is suggesting that you use 550 cord in place of actual climbing rope. 550 cord is often used to secure equipment and keep it from falling (such as an ice pick or carabiners). It is also used as rope-step lines (where you wrap it around your climbing rope, stick your feet in it, and bear weight on it). It is also used to pull gear from ground-level up a cliff-face after the climber has made it up since 550 cord is thinner and lighter, so more of it can be carried. - This particular item is fairly well known, and it is extremely useful. This nylon para cord has been tested to hold up to 550 pounds. Keep in mind, that's with dead weight hanging, no moving or jerking. Also keep in mind that any knot (such as a bowline knot) will weaken the cord by as much as 50%. The various uses of para cord are endless. Some common uses are: Setting small game traps or snares (as opposed to cable/wire) Creating lanyards for things such as knives and cameras. Pitching tents A quick clothes line to dry your wet clothes on Securing a tarp The possibilities are endless! So, to sum it up... Pros: It's fairly cheap Comes in several different colors It's strong Very useful Cons: It stretches (slightly), so that extra-tight clothesline you just put up will sag a little. It frays on trees. Paracord is NOT for climbing. Do not buy this as climbing rope. There is a reason that climbing rope is expensive; it's designed to be able to be rubbed on and tied to rocks, trees, and etc. Also, climbing rope is designed to catch you softly if you fall; the rope stretches a bit and slows you down before jerking you. Paracord is not. With a 550lb breaking strength, a 175lb. person would only have to fall for about a third of a second to snap this. Do not buy this for climbing. Do not buy this for repelling, either; paracord is not particularly good at keeping things away, like bears. Rope in general isn't good at repelling. *Rappelling*, on the other hand, is generally able to be done with rope. Paracord is not for climbing. For other things, it is great. But, not climbing. Or rappelling. This paracord is pretty strong! Its pattern is better than i expected i thought it woould be to good to be true but i was wrong.I strongly recomend this to people who like makeing lanyerds! Average Rating:![]() |

50-Ft 550 Parachute Cord Military 7-Strand Camping Survival - COLOR MAY VARYReviewsI ordered this a month or two ago and got 50 feet of light blue paracord. It has 7 strands inside the outer nylon sheath. I haven't tried to see if it could hold up 550 pounds, but it has been able to hold me (I'm about 200lbs, and I used a knot that reduces the strength of the rope by 20%, so it can hold at least 240lbs.) I also used it to string up a bear bag between two trees that were about 15 feet apart, and the bag weighed about 10lbs. I don't want to do the trig and physics to figure out how much strain was on the rope, but I figured I should let you all know regardless. Average Rating:![]() |

Paracord Bracelet Parachute Cord Survival 550Reviewsthis is a great product. i will definitely be purchasing more form this guy. cheapest place on the web I ordered 2 of these and sent the link over to 3 of my fellow military buddys. We all received the order on time and in great condition as promised. Thank you, I will continue to do business with you and recomend your store to my buddies. Dave N in Phoenix, AZ Seller pays attention to detail and does good job making these for those that like to have survival in a can, bottles of water in the car along with mints, packaged snacks and toilet paper. Cause you never know. :) I got one of these as a gift and when I asked where it came from I was directed to Amazon and this seller. This is a very nice little item and I like it very much. The bracelet are really nice but the buckels are just a little big for the bracelet. I think if they use a small one it would be better. Average Rating:![]() |
