Rothco 550lb. Type III ParacordReviewsGreat product for the price. Don't know if it will withstand the rated tolerance, but I'm sure it will hold several 100 pounds. Type III paracord is some of the most versatile line I use as a maritime professional. Latest application was rigging a new outhaul for an abandoned sailboat, which we could then sail back to port instead of towing. Amazing strength, weight, and ease of use. It's paracord! What more can I really say... I haven't tested the supposed 550 pound limit (my 550 pound dumbells are, uh, at the shop). If I wanted some paracord to use with a heavy weight load, I might consider getting some from a well-trusted source, but since I have no intention of doing anything like that (just needed to wrap a knife handle) this stuff is perfect: stylish and CHEAP! This paracord is extremely durable. With the 550 lb test, it is good for replacing shoe laces, securing snares, tent guy lines, hanging bear bags, fishing, hanging tarps, and just about anything else you could think of. The cut ends are melted from the factory to prevent fraying and I highly suggest you melt the ends of any cuts you make, but this tends to be common practice any time you're dealing with synthetic rope. As other reviews have stated, you can never have enough paracord. I don't leave home with out it. My paracord was shipped by Army Universe and arrived three days prior to the estimated arrival date. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase and would definately recommend this product to my friends and family. I am no military para cord connoisseur, but this stuff appears to be fine and the real deal. The value and quality appears to be consistent with the price. Average Rating:![]() |

Olive Drab Nylon 600 Ft CordReviewsEssential gear for any outdoor enthusiast. This item has a 7 strand core making it strong enough for nearly any task. As with all rope, keep it off the ground and out of the dirt. Great price for the 600' roll - also sold in 100' lengths if you don't need quite as much. This cord is a must for any, camper, hunter, or fisherman. It will hold up your tent, hang a quarter of an elk, but is still small enough to tie up the top of your stuff sack. I always have a roll! 1000' Foot OD Olive Drab Green Parachute Cord Paracord Type III Military Specification 550 *FREE SHIPPING*ReviewsThe product arrived quickly and as advertised. This is a full seven strand cord. I've used it for a number of projects from creating handle wraps to key fobs and paracord braids and it has worked well. I have yet to use it in any load bearing tasks but expect it to perform well. I would certainly recommend this product to a friend who was interested. I've been using this for a multitude of purposes, tent lines, boot laces, etc. This is the first purchase of paracord I have ever made so I don't know if this is normal, but I seem to have trouble sealing the ends with a flame after cutting. The inner cord and outer cord will melt together but it doesn't take much to cause them to separate again. One web site suggests dipping your fingers in water and pressing the ends while they cool to create a flattened rather than bulbish melted end. This is the real deal. Comes on a spool which is helpful in getting lengths needed without tangling up the rope. Spool is an easy-to-store size. Perfect for survival, camping, various projects, you name it! A superb deal for this price. I've tested this spool to 300lbs, being myself and my gear. Since knotting can reduce a rope's strength by up to half, that is really as much as I expected from this stuff. Plus, it is light and not at all bulky. Paracord is paracord, there's not much to say. I work for the Airforce and these are the same spools we get from supply. One thousand feet OD outter 7 strand inner white. Quite strong and fun to use for weaving and other odd jobs. 1000' Foot Black Parachute Cord Paracord Type III Military Specification 550 *FREE SHIPPING*ReviewsAs the title says, it's paracord. Just like other Mil-Spec paracord. Durable, hundreds of uses, and at a great price. The 1000ft roll is a great economical way to get it, is high quality cord, and will serve many purposes. It's hard to review this paracord any higher than others, but the cost / length combo make this a great deal, and it seems to comply with all standard specs. Why wouldn't you want 1000ft of it? :) One thing I can say is that the spool is actually a bit smaller than expected, which is a good thing, and shipped quickly and in good shape. 5 stars. I purchased a spool of parachute cord 2 years ago that is similar to the spool I recently purchased. The cord in the first spool was nearly indestructible. I used for many different situations and it never failed. It does not breakdown or mildew when left wet for weeks. It will not breakdown when left out in the sun for months or even years. It has a very high strength to weight ratio. A plus is that if strained to its breaking point it will fray before breaking and not simply snap. Having said that, I never used it to hold down anything larger than what can fit in the back of a full size pick-up. Wile I did not purchase this spool from the same vendor, I am expecting the same performance from this spool. As a retired military guy, I've used paracord much of my life. Well, just the past 45 years.. This appears to be the right stuff and has thousands of uses around the home, camp, hunting, and you name it.. Good price.. Arrived quickly. I bought the black and may also get a roll of the OD and white. If you need paracord, this is a pretty good deal.. I purchased this paracord to use in my business of making Firestarters/Firesteels. I use the paracord to make lanyards for the handles, (and it works great). I got a very good deal as I had a couple of rebate cards and along with that the paracord qualified for free shipping as well. To sum it up it was a deal I couldn't pass up and I have no regrets. The paracord is of top quality, nothing cheap about it what-so-ever. It meets the military specifications easily, has the black out side sheath with 7 inner strands. It is perfect for so many different things, (basically whatever you can think of). Considering I got 1,000 feet, it will last me for a very long time. If you're looking to buy paracord, you can't go wrong purchasing from this seller as the product is genuine. With it qualifying for free shipping, that's another bonus as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this paracord again. This product was exactly as advertised. No fake 550 cord here. Seven inner strands, tightly wound. I would highly recommend this item. Hammock Bliss No-See-Um No More HammockReviewsGreat hammock. Strong and comfortable. Very breathable, so if you're sleeping in it, and it's going to be cool, be sure to have extra insulation to sleep on and to wrap completely around yourself. Don't just insulate your bottom side. The net isn't very good at staying up and taught. Though the net sags, it still serves its purpose well. When your weight is fully in the hammock the sides wrap you up like a cocoon, so it's cozy. Because the material is quite slippery, there's a tendency to slide towards one end if it isn't tied level. Even when it is level there's a tendency to slide too far towards the center. So if you're a light sleeper, you might want to practice tying it off before heading on the trail! The little sack is great! The whole thing packs into a bundle about the size of a cantaloupe. I recommend this hammock highly. Bring extra rope and learn a few good knots. On my last trip I came up short and would have been in trouble if I didn't bring extra rope. This is probably obvious, but: be sure that the extra rope you use can be trusted to hold your weight. Also, there is nothing that comes with it to keep water out if it rains, so put a plastic tarp up over it. Other than that, all I can say is that it's a great way to enjoy luxury in the woods! I love this hammock. I went camping with it and was very comfortable, for a person who weighs 260lbs. There were two draw backs. 1. The rope (100") is way to short. I bought two thirty foot rope which works so much better. 2. It doesn't come with tarp to keep the rain out. Over all it's great. My son loves it and wants to take it. I Love this Hammock. I bought some "S" hooks and have hung it in my room! I planned on using it for camping, but haven't yet. The material is great. It is a well made product. Nothing chintzy about it! It is very comfortable and the attatched bag is perfect. Awesome product! Average Rating:![]() |
